INTRODUCTION:


In olden days infertility was common among female individual

only. But now, when a couple came for infertility treatment, it

was noted that 33% of male factor involved in it. We are all

surprised to know why? Male infertility, is almost as likely as

female infertility. We all know the common fact , that one motile

sperm is needed for a successful pregnancy. The sperm

should be in the stage of

2.In normal shape

In modern era male infertility has become a very big social problem. It is not


a matter to shy away. But we should think of it why?? Nowadays


many persons deprived of a balanced diet, rich in minerals, vitamins, etc.All

regular exercise can lead one a healthy long life.Most of the men eat fast


food, chat food etc.Nobody knows about the caloric value of this food,

discussing all these habits in this article? Because sexual ability is closely


related to our food habits.


Plenty of vegetables,spinach,vitamins,minerals like zinc,selenium all should


help in this infertility problem. Social ability and general health are directly


related to nutrition.If food is properly planned and regulated both sexual


ability and health can be maintained and obtained easily.It is not a matter

My experience in the field of male infertility:


1.When a patient visit my clinic for infertility, my kind advice them ,to come

with
your caregiver. Usually all of them came with their old reports.


2.Many patient visit my clinic without hope after taking 7-8yrs of modern treatment.


3.I follow our siddhar’s way ,what ever they told in our literature.


4.First I advice them to come on early morning in empty stomach to note the clear status of the Naadi.


5.After that I follow the Tridhosa theory .According to their Naadi,I prescribe some Laxative

or purgative or emetic medicine before starting treatment.


6.I underwent some preliminary investigations, if needed, Such as Recent semen

analysis.(with in 3 months).


7.Generally I advice all my patients to come on person, then only they can clear all their doubts.


8.According to my experience all the infertile patients were in stress , I choose specific yoga therapy to relieve their stress. I advice them to continue it along with my treatment.


9.In my 15yrs experience in this field, I have seen a lot of cases like

and B.P. under control.

WHAT IS WHAT???-MALE INFERTILITY





Oligoasthenozoospermia:


It is one of the term which comes under


male infertility, used to define sperm with low count and low


motility.



Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia:



It is another term, used to define, low sperm
count with a high degree of

slow moving and abnormal
Sperms in the ejaculated semen.


Aspermia:


It is defined as complete absence or lack of semen.


Azoospermia:



It differs from aspermia that, there will be no
sperm in the ejaculated semen.


Oligozoospermia:



It is the most commonly used term of male infertility defined as low sperm

count in semen, that is less than
20million/ml.


Asthenozoospermia:



It is a condition in which the percentage of progressively motile sperm is

abnormally low.




Asthenospermia:



The loss or reduction of sperm activity is referred
as asthenospermia.



Teratospermia:


It is a condition which denotes sperms with
abnormal morphology.


Asthenoteratozoospermia:




Weakness and malformed sperm are called
asthenoteratozoospermia.

Answer : I f you and your partner having trouble in getting pregnant after regular intercourse for one year, you can consult a doctor.


2. What is ovulation period?? When we consult a physician she advice me to have sex on that time, why? Mrs. Yalini, Tiruppur


Answer: For normal menstruating women on the 12-16 th day of (menstruation), egg will release from the ovary, it is called ovulation. On that particular day you may have lower abdominal pain, mild discharge p/v, if you have sex on that time, there may be chance of pregnancy. (This duration is advised for sexual union for getting pregnant).


3. Can you tell me the most common risk factors of Oligospermia?

Answer: Smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, obesity, heat, certain drugs like anabolic steroids, marijuana, cocaine and are all the main risk factors of Oligospermia.

1.Have regular sex on ovulation period.

2.Frequency of ejaculation more than few times a week will also reduce the sperm count.

3.Avoid heat ,high body temperature will reduce the sperm count.

10.Sir Can you tell me what is abnormal sperms ?is it affects fertility?

Answer: Abnormal sperm means , change in sperm morphology. Normally the sperm has a head and tail. The abnormality may be in head or tail. Some time the head may be large or absent or crooked double tail. These defects will impair the ability of sperm to reach the egg. So there may be problem of infertility.


11. Sir I have pus cells in my semen report? Do I need treatment??? Is it curable

Answer: Few pus cells in the semen are common. It will not require any treatment. But many pus cells may be due to any infection of genito urinary tract, such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, prostitis etc. It must be treated with antibiotics. It is easily curable.


12.Sir,We have regular intercourse for two years, but still I couldn’t get pregnant? I am very much frustrated about it? What to do? Kindly advice me.

Answer: No need to frustrate about this matter. Better to consult a physician with your partner.


13.Sir, I have masturbation habit from my 13 yrs old. Now I am 27, I used to masturbate once or twice daily. Is it affecting my family life?

Answer: Masturbation habit will not affect your family life normally. But masturbating once or twice daily for many years lead to defect in sperm concentration. So you are advice to minimize the frequency of masturbation for a successful family life.

14.Sir,I have problem of Oligospermia. I smoke 10-15 cigarettes per day? Now I reduce it to 8-10 cigarettes. Can you tell me this habit may stop or not?

Answer: Smoking habit will kill the sperms DNA. My kind advice better to stop this habit as early as possible.
