WHAT IS WHAT???-MALE INFERTILITY
Oligoasthenozoospermia:
It is one of the term which comes under
male infertility, used to define sperm with low count and low
motility.
Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia:
It is another term, used to define, low sperm count with a high degree of
slow moving and abnormal Sperms in the ejaculated semen.
Aspermia:
It is defined as complete absence or lack of semen.
Azoospermia:
It differs from aspermia that, there will be no sperm in the ejaculated semen.
Oligozoospermia:
It is the most commonly used term of male infertility defined as low sperm
count in semen, that is less than 20million/ml.
Asthenozoospermia:
It is a condition in which the percentage of progressively motile sperm is
abnormally low.
Asthenospermia:
The loss or reduction of sperm activity is referred as asthenospermia.
Teratospermia:
It is a condition which denotes sperms with abnormal morphology.
Asthenoteratozoospermia:
Weakness and malformed sperm are called asthenoteratozoospermia.
